“Deciding what not to do is as important as deciding what to do”.- Steve Jobs
We spend a remarkable bit of our life planning and arranging things to be done at a particular time, at a specific age(like getting married have kids, why so much fuss about it still don’t understand) and demoralize defining limits for ourselves and considering upon things which must never at any point, be done.
In my earlier posts, I have mentioned about My Bucket List and My Reverse Bucket list. However, differentiating to your both lists which include every one of your wants and wishes to be sought after along with analyzing what is already accomplished in this life, an anti-bucket list can encompass the things one must never attempt to do.
So here I will be sharing with you my anti-bucket list and hope to not attempt those things ever throughout in my life.
- Stop taking chances
I would like to rise in the morning and be eager to perform my job with consistency. Dragging myself out of the bed, seeing myself not being productive and accomplished is something that I want out of life. So that when I will look back on my life, glimpsing everything I’ve done and felt no regrets that I missed out on anything because I was scared.
2. Work without holidays
They say when you like your work every day is a holiday. I tried to love this quote, but it requires a hell lot of commitment and dedication to work, now, here I am not saying that it is unachievable but it is still important to not turn into a complete workaholic. Enjoying a holiday and reinventing yourself is essential. Meet new people, take out time to be with your loved ones, experience the zest of life, after all, God didn’t present us with just one life to work incessantly.
3. Stop learning new things
Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young.” – Henry Ford. Life’s a journey in pursuit of exploring ourselves and the world around us. So never stop learning.
- Be kidnapped.
Except if Liam Neeson is coming to free me…since he “will find them” (and will kill them).
- Visit another country without the local currency
Trust me! I am telling you this with experience. Exchange some on the airport itself…I know its costly but you can later exchange for more. But do have some local currency in hand. ALWAYS!!
- Running with the bulls
Now, this reminds me of ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’. But running with bulls!! A big no-no for me!!
- Wear stilettos
Although, it is said that they bring grace to your walk and posture, but watching me in stilettos will be like watching a baby giraffe learning to walk and would probably end up hurting myself and trample everything in the way.
So, that’s my anti-bucket list that I could think of, what’s yours?
