Dubai is like a land of entertainment for kids, with the ultimate in theme parks, water parks and fun galore in every direction.  For a kid, it’s like heaven on earth. Dubai is usually hot, and waterparks are all the rage among tourists with kids. There’s the fantastic Aquaventure Waterpark for instance, and the White Wadi Water Park, Lego Water Park and the Dubai Aqua Park. Dubai has more than its share of theme parks, for instance the Dubai Parks and Resorts, IMG Worlds of Adventure and others. When in Dubai, you’ll never have to worry about your kids being bored. There’s so much for them to do in Dubai that the adults will be kept away from their amusements, catering to the kids’ needs!

  • Aquaventure Waterpark

Located on the outside arm of the Palm Islands, the Aquaventure Waterpark is part of Atlantis, The Palm Resort. It’s just about the biggest water park in Europe and the Middle East. Let your kids have the run of the place, enjoying the 90-foot slides that pop them out into a shark-infested lagoon. You can join them on indolent river boat rides as well. How about letting the older ones get into Poseidon’s Revenge, where they’ll drop 75ft prior to the slide picks up on the double loop?

Your kids will love the multi-sensory 4D theatre adventures such as plunging into the world of RA, a Bollywood movie, or flying through the sky with Krrish. They will love to watch terrific Bollywood performances from hit movies over the decades. Bollywood Parks is full of never-ending delights for kids and adults alike.

  • Motiongate Dubai

Motiongate Dubai is also part of Dubai Parks and Resorts; it is the UAE’s largest Hollywood-inspired theme park. Aptly called “Hollywood in the desert”, Motiongate Dubai is divided into four themed zones such as DreamWorks Animation, Columbia Pictures, Lionsgate and The Smurfs. All in all, they have 27 rides and thrills for not just the kids but for the entire family. Imagine high-speed roller coasters on the basis of movies such as the Hunger Games and other movies.   • LEGOLAND Dubai

An entire theme park based on those kids’ toys – LEGOs. Can you imagine? LEGOLAND Dubai is most innovative in that sense. There are over 40 splendid rides, innovative play areas for children and several family-friendly attractions at LEGOLAND Dubai. The entire park is made out of giant Legos. Kids can create their own LEGO creations, drive cars made out of LEGOs and learn a great deal about their environment through educative and innovative LEGO constructions.

  • IMG Worlds of Adventure

IMG Worlds of Adventure is the world’s biggest indoor theme park. IMG Park Dubai is cover 1.5 million square feet; your kids are likely to feel quite lost in there if it weren’t for the amazing world of Cartoon Network and Marvel Comics. This immense theme park is built up of 5 zones – IMG Boulevard, Lost Valley – Dinosaur Adventure, Marvel Universe and Cartoon Network. Your kids will go nuts over the incredible and scary Velociraptor ride, and scare each other with the Haunted Hotel. Your whole family could enjoy the Lazy Town and other family-friendly attractions.   • Ski Dubai

Ski Dubai is the largest indoor ski resort in the UAE and one of this country’s prime attractions. It’s simply huge – as big as several football fields. Temperatures are maintained steadily at -2° C. Once you step inside, you’ll forget all about being in Dubai and that it’s burning steadily at 55 degrees C outside. Ski Dubai is located in the Mall of the Emirates; it has 5 slopes that cater to every skier’s needs, from beginner to expert. Don’t worry if your kids have never skied before – there are guides who’ll take them through the beginner steps. The longest run is a 400 meters diamond run, the first of its kind in the world. Of great interest to kids will be the penguin park, where they can interact with the cute birds. There’s also an ice cave for the kids, plus a toboggan slope.

The Chillout Lounge is the very first ice lounge in the UAE, and it’s great fun. The place is kept at freezing sub-zero temperatures, so you’ll have to put on warm clothing as soon as you enter, in the temperature orientation room where you’ll get adjusted to the cold inside. The place is full of interesting ice sculptures, the seating is made of ice, the tables are of ice and the fruit juices and mocktails are all freezing. You do get hot soups, sandwiches, hot chocolate, coffee, tea and pastries of all kinds, boiling hot. What kid wouldn’t love a fantastic safari in the Dubai Desert? Sign up for a family-friendly evening or overnight desert safari with your kids and give them a chance to observe Emirati culture first-hand. Take them dune bashing, quad biking, sand boarding and riding on camels. They’ll absolutely adore all the desert activities. When it’s time for dinner, they’ll enjoy the incredible belly dancing and colourful Tanura shows. A wonderful Emirati dinner ends the evening. If you sign up for an overnight desert safari, your kids will delight in spending the night under the stars – like an exotic camp.
